Environmental Impact Report
Los Angeles Valley College published a 设施总体规划 Environmental Impact Report (EIR) 2003年8月. This EIR evaluated the environmental impacts resulting from implementation of the college’s original 设施总体规划 and identified measures to mitigate the significant effects of the building projects proposed under the new Master Plan. Following an update to the College's 设施总体规划, an addendum memo to the EIR was published in December 2006.
的 college decided to update to its 设施总体规划 again in 2010, and a draft EIR addendum was put together for public comment. 2011年， Addendum to the 2003 Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was prepared under State California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. As a voluntary measure by the college, the community was invited to learn more about LAVC’s Master Plan Update 和 environmental process, speak one-on-one with the master plan team, and submit formal comments about the plan at a 社区开放日 [PDF: 289KB] that was held on February 1, 2011. As another good-faith effort, LAVC held a Community Update on Construction [PDF: 517KB] event on March 3, 2011 to provide the community with an additional opportunity to learn more about the LAVC Master Plan Update. 的 college has also publicly posted its responses to the comments it received from community on a Web site it has dedicated to providing the public with updates on bond construction.
